Doma United host early pace-setters against Kano Pillars, while table-toppers face fresh tests across a full NPFL Matchday 4 programme on 19-20 September.
NPFL Matchday 4 fixtures are set for the weekend of 19-20 September 2026, with early pace-setters Doma United facing a stern test against Kano Pillars. Before that, two rescheduled midweek fixtures from earlier postponements will also be played.
Ahead of the Matchday 4 weekend programme, two previously postponed matches are being played in midweek. Warri Wolves host Rivers United on Wednesday, 16 September, and Nasarawa United face Rangers International on Thursday, 17 September. Both fixtures involve clubs that had earlier league matches disrupted by CAF continental commitments.
The weekend programme opens on Saturday with a single fixture: Barau FC host Ikorodu City. Barau go into the game unbeaten through their opening three matches as one of the season’s standout promoted sides.
The bulk of the round is played on Sunday, with nine fixtures across the country:
All eyes will be on Doma United’s home game against Kano Pillars. The newly promoted Gombe side have made the best possible start to life in the top flight — nine points from three matches, five goals scored and none conceded — and have already beaten nine-time champions Enyimba this season. Kano Pillars, meanwhile, will be looking to get their season moving after a disrupted start affected by fixture postponements. Bendel Insurance host Ranchers Bees on the back of a six-goal thriller against Kun Khalifat, while newly promoted Ikorodu City travel to in-form Barau FC looking for their first away win of the campaign. Inter Lagos, still searching for their first points after Matchday 3’s Lagos derby defeat, host Enyimba as both sides look to arrest slow starts.
