Mason Greenwood has officially joined Fenerbahce from Marseille in a €39 million deal, signing a four-year contract after two prolific seasons in Ligue 1 where he scored 23 goals across all competitions.
Fenerbahce moved decisively after talks between Greenwood and Atletico Madrid broke down, with the Spanish club dropping their interest after the player went quiet for two days.
Manchester United are set to benefit financially from the sale under a sell-on clause from his original departure.
Greenwood called the move “a no-brainer” on arriving in Istanbul.

19-year-old Unity Cup star undergoes trial at the Riverside
Nigerian midfielder Aderemi Adeoye is on the verge of a move to Sky Bet Championship side Middlesbrough from NPFL club Ikorodu City, and is currently on trial at the Riverside Stadium.
The 19-year-old joined Ikorodu City in the January transfer window and quickly impressed for the Oga Boys, earning a call-up to Nigeria’s Unity Cup squad.
Should the deal go through, he would follow a long line of Nigerian internationals to wear the Middlesbrough shirt, including Yakubu Aiyegbeni, John Obi Mikel, Kenneth Omeruo and Kelechi Iheanacho.
Ikorodu City are expected to hold out for a fee well above his current €50,000 valuation.
