Plateau United fought back from a goal down to beat Shooting Stars 3-1 in Jos, with Jibrin Ibrahim, Seiyefa Jackson and Gideon Monday all on target.
Plateau United came from behind to beat Shooting Stars 3-1 in Jos on Sunday, September 20, 2026, turning around an early deficit with three unanswered second-half goals in a productive NPFL Matchday 4.
Shooting Stars made the perfect start through Taheer Abubakar, who put the visitors ahead in the 15th minute. Plateau United responded strongly after the break, with Jibrin Ibrahim levelling the scores in the 50th minute before Seiyefa Jackson put the hosts ahead for the first time in the 71st minute. Gideon Monday completed the comeback with a third goal in the 86th minute to make it 3-1.
The win continues an improving run for Plateau United after their opening rounds of the season and hands them a morale-boosting result in front of their home support. For Shooting Stars, the defeat comes after taking an early lead and will be a frustrating one to reflect on, having controlled the opening period of the match before Plateau United’s second-half response turned the game on its head.
