At Plateau, Aliyu Baba opened the scoring after 10 minutes, and Victor Dawa then put Plateau 2-1 up by half-time. Victor Samuel levelled eight minutes after the restart, and Jacob Aondona scored the winner in the 83rd minute. Plateau also had Alex Aghahowa sent off in the 80th minute. In addition, Sports247 reported that the win made Sporting the first side this season to reach 10 away points.
