Is Surebet247 legit? Our answer on 9 October 2026 is that it is a real Nigerian betting brand with a named operator, but we could not confirm a current licence. Below we set out what the site publishes, what the official Lagos register shows, and what players report. Then we give a short checklist for protecting your money.
Is Surebet247 legit in Nigeria?
Surebet247 is a working sportsbook and casino with named operator details, but we cannot call it fully cleared because its licence status is unconfirmed. Its terms print a Lagos licence number, yet the official register shows that entry ending on 31 July 2026. We saw no renewal. So treat it as an operator to check, not one to trust blindly.
We are not saying the site is a scam. We found no regulator action or court case against it. Still, an expired or unrenewed licence matters, because it affects where you can complain.
Who operates Surebet247?
The operator is Orobet Limited, based at 8 Providence Street, Eti-Osa, Lagos. The terms and conditions say Surebet247 is a brand managed by Orobet Limited, and your gaming contract is held with that company. They also say transactions are in naira and follow Nigerian law.
Press reports have given different founding dates, so we do not state one. We also do not quote a shop count, because we found no reliable figure.
What licence does Surebet247 show?
Surebet247 shows licence number LSLGA/OP/OSB/SB010822, issued by the Lagos State Lotteries and Gaming Authority (LSLGA). The same line appears in the site footer and in the terms. The About page also claims an active licence from the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC), but it gives no licence number.
We could not find Surebet247 on any published NLRC list. It is also absent from the lists of operators named in October 2023 news coverage of the NLRC clarification. That does not prove it has no federal permit. It only means we cannot confirm one, so we do not claim it.
What does the official Lagos register say about Surebet247?
The LSLGA register of licensed operators lists Orobet Limited, trade name Surebet247, for online sports betting and online casino. The licence period shown is 1 August 2025 to 31 July 2026. On 9 October 2026 that end date had passed, and we saw no newer entry.
This could be a delay in updating the list, or a renewal in progress. However, we cannot tell which, and neither can you from outside. By contrast, the same register shows 22Bet running to 22 May 2027. Surebet247 does not appear on the LSLGA illegal operators page. Ask Surebet247 support for its current certificate, and ask LSLGA if you want an official answer.
What do Surebet247’s own terms say about your money?
The terms say customer deposits are held in separate accounts from the operator’s own funds. They add that customer funds will be repaid if the service is suspended or the operator becomes insolvent. These are the operator’s promises, so we cannot check them. Several other rules also affect you.
Withdrawals are paid only after the Know Your Client check is complete, and you may need to send ID and proof of address.
A 15% charge may apply if you withdraw without wagering all of your deposited funds.
Complaints must be sent within 3 months.
Using a VPN or proxy is banned, and duplicate accounts can lose their funds.
If a complaint is not settled, the terms say you may refer it to LSLGA. That route is useful only while the licence is in force, so it ties back to the question above. Our guide on what to do if a bookmaker settles your bet wrong covers the steps.
What do players say about Surebet247?
Player feedback is mixed and the sample is small. When we looked, Trustpilot showed a score of 2.6 out of 5, based on about 13 reviews from the last 12 months. About two-thirds were one-star. Complaints mentioned slow withdrawals, frozen accounts, ID requests and bonus terms. Some reviews were positive.
Trustpilot does not check every review, so treat this as a signal only. Nobody can show you your own experience in advance. That is why a small first test matters.
How can you bet with Surebet247 more safely?
Start small and test the whole cycle before you commit real money. The steps below follow from the terms.
Ask support for the current licence certificate before a large deposit, and keep the reply.
Deposit a small amount first, then request a small withdrawal.
