A Squad Rebuilt from Scratch

Doma United have assembled their top-flight squad through a club-wide screening exercise in Nasarawa State, with chief executive officer Alhaji Suleiman Umar addressing a large turnout of hopefuls and framing selection around merit rather than reputation or connections. Umar told players that any footballer good enough to make the squad would get the opportunity, “regardless of where they have come from or who they know.”

Back for a Second Time

Founded in 1994 and based in Doma, Nasarawa State, the club first reached the NPFL in 2022 before being relegated during the 2023/24 season. Their return, confirmed in March 2026, makes Doma United one of four privately-owned clubs promoted together for the first time in NPFL history, and gives Nasarawa State two simultaneous top-flight representatives alongside Nasarawa United.
