Ikorodu City have added Linus Christopher on a three-year contract from Sunshine Stars. The club has also promoted from within, handing first professional contracts to academy players Abdulraman Adam and Ikechukwu Junior, with Ikechukwu Junior signing a three-year deal.
Not all the movement has been incoming — midfielder Temitope has left Ikorodu City to join Enugu Rangers, the reigning champions, ahead of the new season.
Ikorodu City’s clash with Ranchers Bees is one of ten fixtures across the opening weekend of the 2026/27 NPFL season, played 28-30 August. It’s a rare top-flight meeting between two clubs with very different recent histories — Ikorodu City well established among Lagos’s newer private clubs, Ranchers Bees back in the division for the first time since 2009/10.
