Cloudbet is a crypto-first sportsbook and casino licensed in Curaçao. Nigerian players can register, but funding is in cryptocurrency, no naira option was found, and a Nigerian licence is not confirmed.

Cloudbet Nigeria searches keep growing because the site accepts Nigerian players but works very differently from Bet9ja or SportyBet. Cloudbet is a crypto-first sportsbook and casino run from Curaçao. It takes deposits in cryptocurrency, we found no naira option, and its published licence comes from Curaçao rather than from Nigeria’s National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC). Below we set out what we could confirm from Cloudbet’s own pages, what we could not, and what to check before depositing. It is information only, and it is not a recommendation to bet.

Is Cloudbet open to players in Nigeria?

Yes, according to its own rules. Cloudbet’s terms and conditions list the countries where it does not accept customers, and Nigeria is not on that list when we checked on 2 October 2026.

The excluded list includes the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, France, Spain, the Netherlands, Australia and several other countries. Cloudbet also requires customers to be 18 or older, or to meet the higher legal age that applies where they live.

However, being allowed by the operator is not the same as being licensed in Nigeria. Cloudbet can change its terms at any time, so check the current version on its site. If you are unsure about your own position, ask a qualified Nigerian lawyer, because we do not give legal advice.

Who licenses Cloudbet, and does it hold an NLRC licence?

Cloudbet says it is licensed by the Curaçao Gaming Authority, and the pages we read do not show a licence from the NLRC. The operating company is Halcyon Super Holdings B.V., based in Willemstad, Curaçao, and the licence number it publishes is OGL/2024/328/0599.

Cloudbet’s own licence page describes a single gaming licence from Curaçao. The Curaçao regulator is the Curaçao Gaming Authority. Cloudbet also says it was founded in 2013, which makes it one of the older crypto betting brands.

What about the NLRC statement that names Cloudbet?

This point needs care. In October 2023 the NLRC listed 19 operators it described as duly licensed for lottery and sports betting in Nigeria. News Agency of Nigeria reported the list, and the name CLOUDBET is on it. The NLRC also published a note about presenting a sports betting permit to a team from CloudBet.

Neither source gives a website address or the legal name of the company. Cloudbet’s own licence page lists only the Curaçao licence. As a result, we could not confirm that the NLRC’s CloudBet is the same business as cloudbet.com, and we do not state or imply that cloudbet.com holds an NLRC licence.

If this matters to you, ask Cloudbet support in writing which entity holds any Nigerian permit. You can also ask the NLRC directly. Our guide to NLRC-licensed betting sites in Nigeria explains how to check a bookmaker’s status.

What does a crypto-first sportsbook mean for a Nigerian bettor?

For Cloudbet Nigeria players, it means you fund your account and withdraw in cryptocurrency, not in naira. Cloudbet’s terms refer to cryptocurrency and its help pages describe crypto deposits and withdrawals. We found no naira deposit option, so treat naira as unavailable unless the cashier in your account shows it.

Cloudbet says it supports more than 30 coins. Its homepage lists Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDC, USDT, Litecoin (LTC), Dogecoin (DOGE), Dash and XRP, among others. Some third-party reviews mention buying crypto by card on the site, but other reviews say no fiat is accepted, so we treat that as not confirmed.

What this means in practice

  • You need a crypto wallet or an exchange account before you can deposit.
  • Turning naira into crypto happens outside Cloudbet, and that step has its own cost and its own risks.
  • Your Cloudbet balance and any winnings are held in crypto, so the naira value can rise or fall while you wait.
  • Network fees apply when you move coins, and they differ by coin and by day.
  • A transfer sent on the wrong network is usually lost, because crypto transfers cannot be reversed.

What to check before you deposit

First, confirm the coin and the network that Cloudbet shows for your deposit address. Next, send a small test amount. After that, wait for it to appear before you send more. Finally, keep a record of each transfer, because you may need it if there is a dispute.

For a simple walk-through, see our Cloudbet deposit guide and our Cloudbet withdrawal guide. Those pages cover the steps, while this page covers the facts and risks.

What is the Cloudbet Nigeria welcome offer, and what do the terms say?

Cloudbet’s own site headlines a welcome package of up to $2,500. Its homepage describes it as real cash with daily incentives and a final Cash Vault bonus. The exact structure and the wagering terms were not fully visible in the pages we could read, so some details are not confirmed.

Cloudbet’s help centre says the package gives daily cash drops, weekly cash drops and 10% rakeback over your first 30 days. It adds that these rewards are not bundled and that you unlock them as you play. According to the same article, daily cash drops are earned through casino play, rakeback applies to casino bets, and weekly cash drops are earned through sports betting.

What third parties report

A review on casino.org, dated 1 October 2026, describes a casino-focused 100% match up to $2,500 with a $50 minimum deposit for free spins and a 30-day window. We did not confirm those figures on Cloudbet’s own terms pages, so treat them as one reviewer’s description.

Older reviews describe a different offer of up to 5 BTC with bonus points released over 60 days. That structure appears to be out of date. If you read an older page that quotes it, check the current terms instead.

Is it a good offer for a sports bettor?

That depends on how you play. The package appears to be led by casino rewards, and only the weekly cash drops are tied to sports betting. We could not confirm the size of those drops or any wagering on them. Before you rely on the offer, read the full bonus terms in your account and ask support to confirm anything unclear.

For a wider view of promotions, see our guide to the best betting bonuses in Nigeria. No bonus changes the odds, and no bonus makes a bet certain to win.

How do Cloudbet deposits, withdrawals and verification work?

Deposits and withdrawals are made in crypto, and Cloudbet’s terms say withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours of approval, subject to any identity checks. Its help article says most crypto withdrawals are processed instantly once approved, and that some can take up to 24 hours.

Limits and fees

Cloudbet’s terms set a minimum stake of 0.0000001 in cryptocurrency, or the equivalent in fiat, and say the minimum may be higher in some cases. We did not find a single minimum deposit figure, because it varies by coin. One third-party review cites 0.001 BTC, but we could not confirm it. Cloudbet also has a help page on crypto transaction fees, and those fees depend on the coin and the network.

Identity verification

Cloudbet says it asks for identity verification when cumulative deposits reach or exceed USD 2,200. It may ask for a photo ID, proof of address and a photo of you with your documents. It also reserves the right to ask for up-to-date documents at any time. Because of this, you should have your documents ready before you win, not after.

Dormant accounts

If an account is inactive for 12 months, Cloudbet says it may charge an administration fee of USD 5 per month while the account stays dormant. If you stop using the site, withdraw your balance first.

Which sports does Cloudbet cover, and can you bet on the NPFL?

Cloudbet covers a wide range of sports, but NPFL and other Nigerian leagues are not confirmed. Its homepage lists football, basketball, tennis, MMA, baseball, NFL, horse racing and esports, with further sports such as boxing, cricket, darts and chess. Its sports page lists competitions such as the FA Cup, the UEFA Nations League and the NBA, and we saw no Nigerian or African league named there.

Cloudbet says it offers in-play betting on major sports, including football, tennis, basketball and baseball. Third-party reviews and Cloudbet’s sports page also mention markets such as match winner, double chance, over and under, handicaps and a Bet Builder tool.

What about odds and limits?

Cloudbet markets itself as offering no-limit betting on major markets. That is the operator’s own claim, and we did not run an odds comparison for this page. Odds change by the minute, so compare prices on the day. Our betting calculators and tools can help you work out the implied probability of any price you see.

If NPFL betting is your main interest, check the live sports menu before you register. A local bookmaker is more likely to offer deep NPFL coverage. Our Premier Bet review and Bet9ja review look at two options that focus on Nigerian football.

Does Cloudbet have a mobile app?

No native app is confirmed. Two third-party reviews from September and October 2026 say Cloudbet has no dedicated Android or iOS app and runs as a mobile website instead. They say the site uses HTML5 and works in a phone browser, with an option to add a shortcut to your home screen.

We could not check the Google Play or Apple App Store listings directly. Be careful with any file called a Cloudbet app that you find on a third-party site. Install software only from an official store link that Cloudbet itself gives you, because fake betting apps are a known way to steal wallets and logins.

How good is Cloudbet customer support?

Cloudbet is reported to offer 24/7 live chat and email support. The casino.org review dated 1 October 2026 describes live chat as available around the clock and gives support@cloudbet.com as the email address. Another review says there is no telephone line.

Cloudbet also runs a help centre with articles on deposits, withdrawals and its welcome package. We did not test response times for this page, so we cannot rate speed. Keep chat transcripts and screenshots, because they are your record if something goes wrong.

Support quality matters more for a crypto-only site, because a transfer problem is hard to fix without the operator’s help. As a result, we rate Cloudbet’s support as average until we have more evidence.

What are the main risks for Nigerian players?

The main risks are regulatory, financial and practical. First, Cloudbet is licensed in Curaçao, so a complaint would not go to the NLRC unless a Nigerian licence is shown to apply to cloudbet.com. Second, crypto prices move, so the naira value of your balance can change. Third, a mistake with a wallet address or a network is usually permanent.

Account and legal points

  • Verification can pause withdrawals until your documents are accepted.
  • Terms and prohibited countries can change, and your account can be closed under those terms.
  • The legal and tax position of offshore betting and crypto for Nigerian residents is complicated, so seek proper advice.

Practical points

  • Use a strong, unique password and two-factor login where offered.
  • Never share your wallet seed phrase with anyone, including anyone who claims to be support.
  • Set a monthly budget in naira terms before you convert any money into crypto.

How does Cloudbet compare with NLRC-licensed bookmakers?

Cloudbet Nigeria access suits a narrow group, namely bettors who already hold crypto and want a large international sportsbook. NLRC-licensed bookmakers suit most other Nigerian bettors, because they take naira, offer local payment options and carry a Nigerian licence.

The trade-off is clear. Cloudbet offers deep international sports and crypto speed, but no naira account and no confirmed Nigerian licence. A local bookmaker offers naira deposits and Nigerian football depth, but usually slower withdrawals and different limits.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cloudbet legal in Nigeria?

Cloudbet does not list Nigeria among its prohibited countries, and Nigerians can register. That does not tell you whether using an offshore site is allowed under Nigerian rules. We do not give legal advice, so check with a qualified Nigerian lawyer if you are unsure.

Is Cloudbet licensed by the NLRC?

Not as far as Cloudbet’s own pages show. Cloudbet publishes a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence, number OGL/2024/328/0599. The NLRC named a CLOUDBET in October 2023, but we could not confirm that it is the same business as cloudbet.com.

Can I deposit naira on Cloudbet?

We found no naira option. Cloudbet is crypto-first, so you deposit and withdraw in cryptocurrency. Check the cashier in your own account for the current options.

What is the Cloudbet welcome bonus?

Cloudbet’s site headlines a welcome package of up to $2,500, delivered as daily cash drops, weekly cash drops and 10% rakeback over 30 days. The exact amounts and wagering terms are not confirmed, so read the terms in your account.

Does Cloudbet have an app for Android or iPhone?

No native app is confirmed. Recent third-party reviews say Cloudbet works in a mobile browser instead. Do not install files from unofficial sites.

How long do Cloudbet withdrawals take?

Cloudbet’s terms say crypto withdrawals are typically processed within 24 hours of approval, and its help article says most are instant once approved. Identity checks can add delay.

When does Cloudbet ask for ID?

Cloudbet’s terms say verification is required when cumulative deposits reach or exceed USD 2,200, and that it may ask for documents at any time.

Can I bet on the NPFL at Cloudbet?

NPFL coverage is not confirmed. Cloudbet covers many sports, but we saw no Nigerian league named on its sports page. Check the live menu before you register.

Helpful Resources for Nigerian Players

This Cloudbet Nigeria page sits alongside our wider coverage. Start with our list of NLRC-licensed betting sites if you want a naira-based option with a Nigerian licence. Our crypto betting guide compares other crypto-friendly sites, and the Cloudbet Bitcoin betting guide explains how to place a first bet with crypto. The full bookmakers directory lists every operator we cover. For the regulator behind Cloudbet’s licence, see the Curaçao Gaming Authority.

Responsible Gambling

Cloudbet Nigeria readers must be aged 18 or over. Treat betting as paid entertainment, not a way to make money, and remember that no result is certain. Set a deposit limit and a time limit before you play, and never chase losses. With crypto, set the limit in naira first, because price swings can hide how much you are really spending.

If gambling stops being fun, free and confidential help is available. BeGambleAware and Gambling Therapy offer support online, and the National Lottery Regulatory Commission is Nigeria’s gaming regulator. Self-exclusion tools may be available in your account, but we could not confirm Cloudbet’s tools, so ask support.

Final Verdict: Is Cloudbet Right for Nigerian Bettors?

Our Cloudbet Nigeria assessment is that this is an established, openly licensed crypto sportsbook that suits a narrow audience. Cloudbet publishes its Curaçao licence, accepts customers from Nigeria and describes fast crypto withdrawals. On the other side, there is no naira option, no confirmed Nigerian licence for cloudbet.com, no confirmed app and no confirmed NPFL coverage.

We give it a provisional rating of 3.3 out of 5. Bettors who already hold crypto and want international markets may find it useful. Everyone else will likely be better served by a naira-based, NLRC-licensed bookmaker. Whatever you choose, read the current terms, start small and bet only what you can afford to lose.
