Senegal Face Must-Win Clash Against Norway as Africa’s World Cup Hopes Hang in the Balance

The Lions of Teranga need a result tonight at MetLife Stadium to stay alive in Group I

Senegal face an enormous must-win match against Norway at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey tonight, after losing their opening game 3-1 to France.

Norway, powered by a brilliant brace from Erling Haaland, sit top of Group I with three points and are aiming to seal qualification with a game to spare.

For Senegal, a defeat would mathematically eliminate them from the tournament and end Africa’s campaign in the group that many dubbed the toughest draw at the World Cup.

The match kicks off at 8pm local time and will be one of the most watched games of the group stage.
