Senegal looked set to pull off a huge World Cup upset after Habib Diarra and Ismaila Sarr put the Teranga Lions 2-0 up inside the final 20 minutes.
Substitute Romelu Lukaku pulled one back in the 86th minute before Youri Tielemans levelled soon after to force extra time.
Tielemans then converted a 125th-minute penalty, the latest goal in World Cup history, after a lengthy VAR review, sending Belgium through and ending Senegal’s Round of 32 campaign in Seattle.

Turkish champions want to build around Osimhen and are preparing a new contract to 2029
Galatasaray have turned down twin €120 million bids for Victor Osimhen, one from a European club and another from Saudi Arabia, with club president Dursun Ozbek said to value the striker at €150 million.
The Nigerian forward scored 22 goals and provided eight assists in 33 games last season as Galatasaray retained their Super Lig title.
Reports in Turkey suggest he could be handed the captain’s armband and the number 9 shirt as the club moves to tie him down long term.
