Club history

Wikki Tourists FC, based in Bauchi, are one of northern Nigeria’s most established sides. Founded in 1991 (after earlier Bauchi United projects), the club take their name from the state’s famous Yankari Game Reserve and tourism attractions. Wikki have spent long stretches in the top division, with their best league finish coming in the mid‑2010s when they placed third in the NPFL. The club’s trophy cabinet includes the Nigerian FA Cup, won in 1998, and the Nigeria National League title in 2011, while continental experiences span the CAF Cup Winners’ Cup and CAF Confederation Cup. Home matches at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Stadium are known for lively support, and Wikki’s strong administrative ties to the Bauchi State government have ensured relatively steady operations. After bouncing back from spells in the second tier, Wikki Tourists returned to the NPFL in 2025 determined to secure long‑term top‑flight status.
